Her work lives somewhere between obsession and observation. Where reclaimed wood meets laser precision, photography meets raw human gesture, and technology becomes a tool for making something unexpectedly intimate.

Fascinated by what catches the eye and refuses to let it go. A hand in motion. The tension of the jaw. A stare held one second too long. The concentration on an artist’s face. The beautiful imperfection of a moment that was never meant to be perfect.

She creates mixed-media work by combining original imagery, photography, and laser engraving, often working with reclaimed wood that already carries a history of its own. Scraps and remnants from Fontenay, Fine Vintage Solutions, and Epris become canvases. Material meant for the junk yard, instead becomes something worth stopping for.

Philosophy is simple:

• Keep looking.
• Let your eyes wander.
• Find the thing you didn’t see the first time.

Honored by Youtopia and Long Beach Arts council grants. She curated Love and Smut at Ancient Vine Studio creating a show that embraced art’s ability to provoke, seduce, challenge, and make people uncomfortable in all the right ways. Her interactive art exhibits at Youtopia invited the participants to find their inner child and question who told them they couldn’t be young. 

As co-owner and featured artist at Ancient Vine Studio, Christine works at the intersection of art, community, bodies, storytelling, volunteering, community building, and experience. She is a mixed-media artist, photographer, and figure model whose creative practice is fueled as much by watching people as by making things.

She isn’t particularly interested in perfection.

• Perfection is static.
• Movement is alive.

Her camera follows the movement. Her art captures the aftermath. And her laser becomes the knife-edge between what was seen and what remains.

Outside the studio, inspiration comes from archery, camping, Burning Man, early mornings, and a cup of coffee while the world is still deciding what it wants to become.

Collaborating with individuals, artists, and organizations to turn ideas that exist only in someone’s head into something they can finally put their hands on is my dream.
